Every Sunday morning, the Port Douglas markets are held in Anzac Park with a couple of hundred stalls selling all kinds of handicrafts, clothes, food and drink.
One of the favourite things we sampled was the cane juice - sugar cane plantations are all around the area so was a must try. Once the canes had been squeezed the juice was mixed with lime, it was sweet but not too sweet, very refreshing.
